The World’s Largest Flag Football Tournament Transitions From 4 on 4 to 5 on 5 Game Play in All Youth Divisions

DENVER, CO, November 12, 2008 - After more than a decade, the Let It Fly National Flag Football Tour, presented by Champs Sports, is making a change to its rules sheet. For nearly sixteen years, the most famous 4 on 4 amateur tour of its kind has stayed true to its unique form of play. Following the shift by the majority of leagues in the United States, Let It Fly has decided to make the transition to 5 on 5 for all youth divisions under the age of fourteen (14). Consequently, teams will now be allowed seven players on their roster, rather than the original six. Teams will still play on the 25 x 64 yard field made famous by the Let It Fly Tour. With the 2009 season quickly approaching, the new rules will be in effect starting November 1^st when the tour kicks off in Indianapolis. 

The 2009 season is comprised of 20 local events held throughout the United States from November through May, culminating with the National Championships in Florida. Let It Fly annually attracts over 40,000 players from across the nation and offers divisions for all ages and abilities. The change in play is expected to attract more athletes and participants to the Let It Fly experience, while staying true to its fast paced, non-contact competition which has made it the largest event of its kind in the world.
